I was born in Los Angeles and grew up on the Santa Monica Bay in Southern California. I was interested in fine arts and history and attended and graduated from Sonoma State University with the idea of being an art teacher. I worked in various positions in automotive industry for many years.

I went back to school with the idea of being a school counselor. I received my Master's degree from the University of San Francisco in Counseling Psychology. I have worked at Comstock Middle School and Santa Rosa, Ridgway, Piner and Montgomery High Schools before coming to Grace High School.

I am an adoptive parent of two boys and I also have three home made daughters. I have also been a foster parent to three children. I was involved in the formation of an adoptive parent support group in Sonoma County. As an adoptive parent, I became involved in starting a special needs adoption agency in Santa Rosa.I have been a member and volunteer with several community organizations concerned with direct service to others. I am currently on the Santa Rosa Library Advisory Board.
I am excited to be a part of Grace High School and I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of you this year.
